The Guide
Meet Rachel.
A guide, not a guru.
Roughly two decades in adoption. Years walking closely with birth parents, adoptive families, and children. That work taught her to listen beneath the first story, to hold complexity without rushing it, and to understand that transformation cannot be forced.

I believe my life's work lies in light.
But my story began with a wound.
I entered this world with a broken clavicle.
For the first few days— no one knew.
Before I had words, my body carried pain no one else could see.
My first worldly lesson—
that what hurts us is not always visible.
That the body knows before we have the words.
That healing begins when we become curious—
and start to listen.
I also came into this world— with an abundance of light.
But was led to believe—
it was too much. So I dimmed it.
I have spent much of my life searching for light within my wounds.
Because I learned they had something to teach me.
I do not stand outside of your pain and tell you how to heal.
I meet you there.
I hold space. For what has been.
For what is.
For what can be.
Illuminating what is already within you.
The wisdom. The magic. The light.
Never theirs to take.
