Remembering Home

Home isn't a place. Home is returning to ourselves— when we finally trust the quiet signals guiding us back.

I learned something about sea turtles today…

and I can't stop thinking about it.

I've always known that sea turtles return to where they came from to lay their eggs, but I hadn't taken the time to truly think about it.

After spending decades crossing entire oceans…

they somehow return to the very beach where they were born.

Scientists believe they navigate using the Earth's magnetic field,

along with the sun, the stars, the currents, and even the scent of the coastline.

Truly, any one of those things feels like magic.

No single signal guides the turtles home.

Together…

they do.

Wow.

Monarch butterflies are born knowing the way.

Their migration spans thousands of miles and multiple generations—

yet they return to the same forests in Mexico.

Nature has been trying to get our attention all along.

We just haven't been listening.

Sometimes fear gets in the way.

It keeps us from seeing.

Feeling.

Moving.

Sea turtles don't stay where they were born.

They leave.

Cross entire oceans.

Live.

Then,

when the time is right…

they find their way home.

Finding our way home isn't about one grand sign.

It's about noticing the quiet ones.

The feeling in our body that says,

"This way."

The relationship that feels different.

The places where our breath deepens.

The work that leaves us feeling more alive.

The people who feel familiar, even when we've only just met.

We've been taught to trust only what we can explain.

Meanwhile, nature has been navigating and teaching, for millions of years.

Not magic.

Relationship.

Intuition works the same way.

Not as one loud voice…

but as many subtle signals guiding us toward ourselves.

Remembering isn't about finding something we've lost.

It's realizing we've been carrying the map all along.

Home isn't a place.

Home is returning to ourselves— when we finally trust the quiet signals guiding us back.
